Before El Rincon de los Canallas was a restaurant, this eatery was a secret meetingplace for like-minded people against the Pinochet regime in the 1980's. Multiple passwords were used to gain entry and keep conspirators out. After a mysterious fire, the restaurant had to move locations to the current one today, but they have updated their decoration with letters and notes from their visitors and patrons.

The name of the restaurant roughly translates to “The Corner Scoundrels”,which was a name given to secret opposers of General Pinochet. | Before the restaurant served food, it was a secret meeting place for rebels and like minded people during the Pinochet reign. |
